Then, celebrate National Propane Day on Tuesday, October 7. This year’s theme, “Prepare with Propane,” spotlights propane’s reliability for families, farmers, businesses, and communities when storms strike—and its efficiency for powering home appliances ahead of fall gatherings.

Here’s how to participate:

• Add TV reminders for the Oct. 5 segments so you don’t miss them.
• Download and share social graphics to encourage your followers to tune in and spread the word.
• Read & share the National Propane Day article featuring easy talking points—from whole-home energy for entertaining to resilience when the grid goes down.
• Visit the National Propane Day industry page for materials, contests, and the latest updates leading up to Oct. 7.

Let’s help customers and communities get “prepared” to Prepare with Propane—and keep the momentum going through National Propane Day.

Join the 2025 Duty to Warn Safety Mailing Program to keep your Texas company — and keep your customers — informed. Duty to Warn is about ensuring propane retailers share important safety information with customers.


The Propane Council of Texas makes compliance simple with a ready-to-mail Texas-specific safety brochure covering topics such as what to do if you smell gas and carbon monoxide safety.

How it works:

1. Register online at www.procot.org/dutytowarn.
2. Upload your Texas propane customer list (Excel or CSV only).
3. A mail house prints and mails brochures with your company name within 30 days.
4. You’ll receive confirmation, a postage receipt, and a notarized affidavit.

Cost: The brochure and postage are covered by ProCOT. Retailers only pay a $38 flat fulfillment fee plus 9.5¢ per address.

Deadline: December 4, 2025. Space is limited and first come, first served.
