Register for Training Today
Training is required for CIS access and is essential to your ability to work clinically in the new system when Wave Three goes live. Review Provider Learning Mapping on the OPOR Training Registration Portal to identify your required training, and register yourself for all instructor-led sessions. All prerequisite eLearning must be completed before attending your instructor-led scenario labs. Register now.
Pre-Go-Live OPOR CIS Access: Rules of Engagement
Following completion of classroom training, providers may receive their active OPOR CIS login access in advance of Go-Live on November 14. This early access is provided strictly for the purpose of completing personalization activities.
Adherence to the Rules of Engagement is critical to prevent unintended system impacts and protect patient safety. By logging into the OPOR CIS using your credentials at any time before November 14, you acknowledge and agree to follow the Rules of Engagement. Failure to comply may result in the removal of your OPOR CIS access prior to Go-Live. Read the Rules of Engagement.
Risk/Intake Form: A Direct Line to Document OPOR Risks and Issues
Physicians are positioned to see readiness gaps that no one else can catch. Surface OPOR concerns or challenges through the GL3 Risk/Issue Intake Form. (NSH login not required)
The form is the front door into your site’s Incident Management Teams (IMTs). Use this form as soon as you identify a challenge or issue that could affect your ability to be prepared for OPOR: one item per submission (three concerns means three submissions). Do not include any personal or patient information.
Once submitted, your IMT team will develop a plan to resolve, and may be in contact to get more information or close the loop on the proposed resolution.
OPOR Roadshow Locations in Western Zone
If you work in or are visiting the Western Zone, there’s still time to drop by an OPOR Roadshow and get hands-on experience with the CIS before Wave Three.

Central Zone: We Need Your Feedback!
With the clinical information system live across Central Zone and select Mental Health and Addictions Program services since May, Nova Scotia Health’s Implementation Science Team is seeking a quick snapshot of providers’ and clinicians’ experiences to date. This short, voluntary survey takes approximately seven minutes to complete. Responses will remain confidential and will be reported only in aggregate. View and complete the survey here. CIS Support: Start with Your Local Resources
All changes made within the OPOR CIS are accompanied by a Change Notification, which outlines what has changed, why the change was made and any relevant impacts to users.Physicians are encouraged to bookmark the Change Notifications page and review it regularly to stay informed.
The Change Notifications page can be filtered by impacted audience, allowing you to quickly identify changes that specifically affect physicians and other provider groups.
Medical leadership will continue to highlight and amplify changes that are considered significant or have broad clinical impact; however, providers are responsible for routinely consulting Change Notifications to remain current on changes relevant to their practice.
