REMINDER: October 11, 2017, is PSAT day for freshman, sophomores, and juniors. Students in grades 9-11 will start testing at 8:15 a.m. and dismissed at 12:30 p.m. Seniors will report to school at noon for senior activities and be dismissed at 1:30 p.m. No regular classes. Saint Joseph High School is proud to announce four students have been named Commended Students in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program. Congratulations Marty Kennedy, Meagan Luck, Margaret Garnett, and Eric Liu! Technology News

The Technology Department has directions for accessing Securely on the school website under Parents > Technology.  Please call the iHelpDesk at 574-232-1121 if you need assistance and ask for Mr. Davidson.

PowerSchool allows parents to access student's grades, attendance records, and logs any missing assignments. First-time users need to create an account and use the school supplied access ID and access password to add their student's to the account. Saint Joseph High School and the SADD Club are excited to bring students a terrific opportunity presented by the Indianapolis Colts.  The Colts organization has put together a presentation about anti-bullying and are sending their mascot Blue to give a presentation! 

Blue will talk about the importance of choosing love over judgment and bullying. With social media broadening, it has become easier to hide behind who we really are. This show is a reminder to be yourself and connect with those around you in a real way.

Staying Connected to Saint Joe during inclement weather
Saint Joseph High School will be using three modes of communication this school year regarding emergency notifications such as school closings or school delays. We will no longer use Pinwheel. 
1) SJHS App - Smart phone owners can use the new Saint Joseph High School - South Bend app available on the iTunes or Google Play store. Please note - when signing up for the app, make sure to accept school notifications. Notifications will be stored on the Notification button within the app. Along with sending emergency notifications, subscribers get weekly notifications regarding campus events.
2) SJHS Website - Check the website at

3) Local News Station - Weather closings will be announced on WNDU, WSBT, and ABC57. Families can set their cell phones for text announcements regarding weather closings through the news station websites.

Saint Joe Athletics

The Lady Indians varsity volleyball team won the White division at the Crown Point Invite winning 2-0 over Wawasee (25-4, 25-11), 2-0 over Whiting (25-5, 25-6), 2-0 over Kankakee Valley (25-13, 25-13), and 2-0 over Lowell (25-14, 25-16)! The team is 21-4 overall and 8-0 in the NIC Conference!

Light of Learning forms available
Each year, Saint Joseph High School awards a faculty member the Light of Learning Award. This award is for an individual who acts as a Christian model for the students, faculty, and staff. The winner must act as a motivator for his/her students and be involved in extra-curricular activities. Additionally, the winner must be knowledgeable in the subject taught, relate well to the students, and act as an inspiration for their success in the classroom.
