Pastor's Word of the Week | | |
Dear Church Family,
Reevaluation and Resetting are difficult processes. I appreciate both the positive feedback and those who are struggling with the challenges that have been put forward as we have gone through this RESET series. It shows that these things matter to you and that is all any pastor could ask for. If your excited about potential changes, remember we need to follow our path in God’s timing (Don’t microwave the Brisket!). If you’re troubled by something I have said, let’s talk. It may be that I have missed something. Regardless of your disposition, I hope you will join me in praying that all of us (me included) will strive to align ourselves with God’s desire for ourselves and our church, even when it’s difficult.
I have moved the September business meeting from Wednesday (the 23rd) to Sunday the 27th at 3:00pm. That should give you all enough time to grab lunch and take care of some things before the meeting. I plan on outlining and discussing with our membership some of the steps we are going to take moving forward – most of this will just be discussion without a vote taking place so that we can hear from each other and avoid any hasty decisions. I think meeting on Sunday afternoon will help us for a few
reasons: I want as many people present as possible. Evenings are difficult for many of our families, and they also create time constraints to discussion. Second, this will allow us to finish the RESET series before we talk about some of the changes. I hope you all can make it.
As I mentioned during announcements a few weeks ago, please set aside Saturday, October 24th on your calendar! We are going to have an all-day event that day called “For the Heart.” This day will begin with donuts and kolaches and a brief training session on canvassing, followed by a few hours of canvassing in nearby neighborhoods. I am going to ask those of you who can’t walk through neighborhoods to come to the church to pray for the encounters we will have during the day. We will then come back to the church for a picnic and block party event that will serve both as our Fall community event and our celebration of 130 years of ministering to our community. It looks to be a big day. Please be a part.
I love you all!
Pastor Tim

THANKS FOR GIVING
August 30, 2026
| | | |
Need a place during the service?
Parents, we're so glad you're here! Children are always welcome to remain in the main auditorium with you. Their sounds, wiggles, and occasional chatter are a joyful reminder that families are part of our church community.
Whether you are a parent or just someone who needs a different space, if, at any point in the service, you feel the need to separate yourself from the larger group, we have a Family Room available right next to the Coffee Bar. The service is livestreamed there, giving those who need it a little more room to be themselves as they continue participating in worship. After the service, we would love for you to return to the auditorium or fellowship areas to connect with others.
We're grateful you're worshiping with us today!
Note: Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
