The Explorer’s Class will resume meeting on Sunday, September 8, with a Living the Questions series, “Saving Jesus Redux.” This 12-week series is a continuation of the “Saving Jesus” series. It focuses on “Who Jesus Was and how we can know him.” It takes us through the various contexts that contributed to our present understanding(s) of Jesus. Join the class at 9:00 in the Palo Verde (Adult) Room. Jane Baker and Mark Huntington will lead this series.
The 10:30 Adult Contemporary Issues class will start meeting for the fall season on Sept 8. The first topic will be “Who Founded Christianity?" How did early Christianity come into existence and become the religion it is today? We will study the early first and second centuries and how the early followers of Jesus spilt
into a number of camps, each with its own interpretation of his teachings.
