The Lion's Roar

Hey SJPS Families! We have officially completed our second week of school! Woot Woot!!

We have a good start on establishing our routines and are busy growing in our learning. I am going to bullet point my paragraphs to help with easier reading. I'd love feedback on this please. Also, if you haven't been receiving communication from us--or if someone mentions to you that they haven't been receiving our emails, PLEASE have them call the school office. They may need to update their information in TADS but we will troubleshoot and work to figure it out.

  • I want to invite everyone to join me on Wednesday, September 25th, beginning at 6:30 p.m. for an evening of conversation and a little bit of fun! This will be a parent event that will help everyone grow in their learning all our fabulous school and all of the programs and happenings that are going on in our building. Save the date!

  • Our St. Jerome Athletic Association is searching for some awesome individuals to be our basketball coordinator, basketball tournament coordinator, and our Athletic Association Secretary! If you are interested, please email me and let me know. I just know that the Holy Spirit is working within all of you and someone is thinking, "Hey! I can do that! I would love to help our kids!" God is good!!

  • The OHS Homecoming Parade is Friday, October 4th. We walked in the parade two years ago and had a great time promoting our school and handing out candy to the crowds. Fr. Tom and I would love to have participation in the parade again this year. All that we need are volunteers and smiling happy kids to walk our banner and pass out candy as the parade travels toward Roosevelt Field. Is anyone up for this awesome event? Call or email the school office and let us know if you would like to help us this year.

  • Screenagers information is below! What an awesome opportunity for our parish and school community. Please send in your reservation so that we can anticipate numbers for this event on Friday, September 27th.

Blessings to you and your families,

Mary Johnson
Fr. Tom

The school office is closed during the all school Mass on Fridays and Holy Days. Please make a note of this if your child is coming in Tardy. They should go to the church and sign into the school office after church.

The first out of uniform day for the 8th grade fundraiser is next Tuesday, September 10, 2019. If your student wants to go out of uniform, please have them bring $2.00 to give to their teacher in the morning. Please remember dress code applies :). Thanks for your support.
