WATER/WASTEWATER REPAIRER – SALEM CITY

The City of Salem is accepting applications for a Water /Wastewater Repairer. Interested applicants must have the ability to perform work involving the repair of pumps, chemical feed systems and other related equipment at the Water and Wastewater plants. The person hired will also be required to work safely in accordance with NJPEOSHA and City of Salem’s safety program while performing a variety of manual unskilled laboring tasks and work assignments as directed by their supervisor. The person hired may be assigned to any department under Public Works. Applicants must possess a valid N.J. State Driver’s License and a valid NJ State CDL Driver’s License or the ability to obtain the CDL License within one year of employment. A minimum of one (1) year experience working in either a water or wastewater department is required. Salary will be based on qualifications and experience. Salary range is $55,000 to $61,500 with benefits. ·        Experience in coding invoices, accounts payable, expense processing, etc.

·        Experience in construction is highly preferred.

·        This position will be located on the future site of the New Jersey Wind Port.

·        Excellent verbal/written and organizational skills.

·        Ability to manage multiple management calendars, conference room calendars, and office visitors.

·        Office/administration skills inclusive of; inventory of office supplies, vendor management, providing support for events, coordinating deliveries, etc. 

Demonstrated experience in the management and oversight of confidential information and confidential conversations, while maintaining professional comportment.
