Pastor Trudy's Message
We hear a familiar story to many, even people who have never come to church; the story of Noah and the flood. We will be looking at it through the lens of a line from Romans 3 that we will explore more later in the year…"suffering produces endurance." In joining Noah on the ark, it seems likely that we will find a companion for the things we have gone through and will go through. Together we will seek a sign of hope in the midst of devastation.
Sovereign God, You grieved over the state of Your creation at the time of Noah and we wonder if You grieve now, too. You promised never to destroy creation with a flood again, and You send Your son Jesus to teach us a different way to know You and find new life in the struggle. Lead us to hope. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
