Working past substance abuse to reconnect with children

The Fatherhood Initiative is now holding classes at the United Way offices in Janesville in addition to classes in Beloit.  We've seen some great progress from participants:

Jason came to the Fatherhood program seeking a change. After being incarcerated and suffering from substance abuse issues, Jason found himself jobless, homeless, and searching for help.  After working through his substance abuse issues he knew that he needed to get back on track in order to maintain a healthy relationship with his children.

Through one-on-one case management and employment assistance through the Fatherhood Initiative, Jason improved his job skills and self-confidence to find a job.  He is currently working full time and focusing on his goals in order to be able to provide for himself and his children.
