Equity in Expanded Learning
This year, OregonASK will be partnering with experts from the field to provide year long, in-depth learning opportunities. Our first opportunity will be based on exploring and learning more about Equity within Expanded Learning. We are thrilled to have Dr. Johnny Lake as the facilitator leading this six session series over the coming school year.
Each session will build on previous conversation and include real-world, relevant examples that will encourage participants to dive deeper in their own understanding.
REGISTER HERE to join the first session on Saturday, September 16th from 9am-1pm. The $100 cost will cover all 6 sessions, including refreshments at each.

Policy Time Again
After a well-deserved and very warm summer break, our state legislators will be back in Salem this month to get ready for the next legislative session and get updates on last sessions work. September's
Legislative Days
will bring legislators back for committee meetings, while also giving constituents and advocates
an opportunity
to share about important issues that may have been forgotten amidst the chaos of this years budgetary battle.
If you are not able to be at Legislative Days on September 18th-20th, later this fall is a wonderful time to invite legislators to your program to see the magic firsthand. You can take a look at our
Advocacy Guidance
packet for help getting started as you reach out and strengthen relationships with your policy makers.
Additionally, although the budget was passed this summer, we are still waiting to hear how some of the funding will be distributed, particularly keeping an eye on CTE, STEM and Professional Development funds that can often be utilized by afterschool programs. We will keep you updated as funding opportunities and decisions are made.
