CUSTOM EVIL EYE BRACELET

After trying on a very expensive evil eye bracelet at a "designer boutique", while traveling on vacation, this client yearned to be able to replicate the style and quality, at a more affordable price. After returning home, she turned to "designer" Christina Termine, and shared images of the inspired piece, which contained 3 stations of the evil eye motif. After studying several variations, Christina was able to track down 3 identical evil eye charms, which were pave set in great detail with multi-color diamonds, which significantly brought down the price, versus going a handmade route. A readily stocked, popular DOTK diamond bezel line bracelet, identical to the original bracelet, was used as the foundation, with minimum labor to integrate the 3 motifs, equally spaced throughout the bracelet. The end result was a sparkling bracelet, which contained DOUBLE the amount of diamond weight, for less than HALF the price of the original! The client was so pleased because the bracelet was even grander than she imagined! Another happy client!

FROM THREE BANGLES TO ONE

This Diamond On The Key client enjoyed purchasing an oval diamond bangle bracelet each year at the annual trunk show, until her stack was complete by collecting all 3 colors of gold, in yellow, white and rose! However, when she wore the bracelets together, she felt they were uncomfortable and did not like the "look" of the set of 3 not lining up correctly, to best show the diamonds, as they twisted around on her wrist. The solution? The 3 bangles were laser soldered together, for a "flush fit" with a special custom made uniform clasp, to keep them perfectly aligned. The 3 colors of gold remained intact, with the white gold bangle stationed in the center, flanked by the yellow and rose to either side. Issue easily solved and the client now happily (and comfortably) wears her bracelet every day!

CUSTOM EARRINGS AND

DIAMOND BY THE YARD NECKLACE

Unsure of what to do with a diamond bracelet she no longer wore, plus an old ring mounting, this client turned to DOTK for a jewelry "makeover". With an affinity for the allure of "Elsa Peretti" sexy diamond strands from the 70's, it was decided to create two new pieces that the client could wear often. Twenty uniform, well cut diamonds were unset from the bangle bracelet, and two diamonds, weighing 1 carat each, were unset from the ring. The old gold mountings were applied as a scrap gold credit towards the new parts needed, plus labor to bezel set the diamonds by hand. It was decided that the larger diamonds become the focal point at the end of the drop earrings, where they could best be seen, with four of the twenty diamonds used as accents. The remaining eighteen diamonds were equally scattered through a new 14 karat gold cable chain, with extra chain length utilized for the dangle earrings. The client was amazed at what her old pieces yielded and now wears her new pieces every day!

Story of the Month!

As a surprise gift to commemorate their upcoming 25th wedding anniversary, John contacted Diamonds On The Key, which he found during a Google search of "Key Biscayne Jewelers". His wife, Pam, and he were celebrating their anniversary with a 4 day trip to this island paradise and John wanted to surprise Pam by updating and resetting her original solitaire diamond engagement ring during their vacation. By contacting DOTK in advance, and having a discussion about the existing ring with owner, Christina Termine, she was able to pull together a selection of diamond "semi -mounts" and coordinating "diamond wedding bands" to view, and schedule a date & time during the trip, for John to bring Pam to the private salon.

An ecstatic and fun appointment, filled with positive emotions, ensued and a new "custom designed" ring set was created exclusively for Pam, combining several design elements of all the samples. Meanwhile, the gold shank of her original ring was converted into a classic tapered band ring, to be worn on her opposite hand. The couple was absolutely thrilled when they received the new rings back and more than satisfied with their personalized experience at DOTK. Pam gushed about her special anniversary via Facebook (excerpt):

25-years ago today I married the boy I loved. I had no idea the absolutely incredible man, husband, father and best friend that you would become. John, I am so incredibly grateful for you, our three beautiful children and the life we have created together. I love you so much and can’t imagine living this life with anyone else! Happy Anniversary! John and I were able to sneak away for 4 GLORIOUS days to beautiful Key Biscayne (Miami) Florida. It was like we were on our honeymoon only BETTER! 💗🥂♥️💍🎉🌴☀️
