It's been a fun few weeks seeing many WCHS families and community sponsors supporting and cheering on our fall sports teams! We had a great turnout at our September General Membership Meeting of both returning and new folks excited to volunteer on committees and as Team Booster Reps. If you missed it, our meetings are held in the media center at 7 pm on the 1st Wednesday of the month (except October's will be on Thursday, Oct. 6th). We would love to get everyone interested and involved no matter how little or how much time you have to contribute. We are always looking for a hand in the Concession Stand and the School Store.

We've been thrilled at the generosity of our families who have joined the Booster Club this year so far. If you have a fall athlete, please help their team achieve 100% membership and receive a $300 donation back to the team! Finally, I want to thank our new and returning Booster Club Sponsors for their charitable support of our student athletes this year! We have been busy printing and hanging banners in the Stadium, with more on the way. Plus, 4 new Sponsor logos will soon be installed on the sponsor windows in the gymnasium. Please patronize our Sponsors (listed at the bottom of this Newsletter) and let them know you are a Bulldog family and appreciate their support! It's not too late to join this great group of community businesses and become a Banner or Gymnasium Glass Sponsor!

We are off to a record-breaking year with memberships and sponsorships! Thank you to all the families who have joined the Booster Club. You are what makes Churchill athletics amazing.

Why join? Whether your student is an athlete, a fan, or participates in PE, the Booster Club helps make the experience safer, more competitive, and more fun by providing important resources and support!

What is the Booster Club? The Booster Club works with the Athletic Department to ensure that our athletes have the necessary equipment and facilities to compete safely and at the highest possible level each year. The county provides Churchill with only a fraction of what it takes to support our sports teams. In a typical year, the athletics budget spent per athlete (per roster spot) at Churchill is around $220, yet the County’s contribution is less than $80. The Booster Club plays a critical role in providing supplemental resources to help offset this shortfall.

Your annual membership in the Booster Club will provide our student athletes and teams with these resources.

Show your school spirit by shopping at the School Store. We have sweatshirts, sweatpants, t-shirts, school supplies and other logo items! The store is open to students during lunch on Tuesdays & Thursdays, or you can place your order online, 24/7.

We are also looking for volunteers to help us at the School Store!  Sign up for an hour shift once a week, once a month, or even once a semester. No experience necessary!

A special thanks to all of our hard-working Team Booster Club Reps!

The Team Booster Reps are liaisons between the Booster Club and their respective teams, sharing important Booster Club information with coaches and parents as well as sharing team-specific news and perspectives with the Booster Club as a whole.  They also encourage Booster Club membership so their teams can earn financial incentives from the Booster Club, as well as recruit concessions volunteers to fulfill the teams' concessions coverage duties so the Booster Club can continue to provide a great game day experience for our fans.
