The varsity field hockey team has opened their season with two wins. They traveled to Sherwood on Sept 6 and won 2-0 and followed it up with a 3-0 win at Quince Orchard on Sept 9. Goals were scored by junior Jordyn Reicin (2), senior Becca Schiff , senior Lucia Alem , and freshman Grace Jennings . Assists have come from freshman Lexie Levitt , Alem (2), and senior Grace Carnathan . Junior goalkeeper Allison Jacobs has made 10 saves to date. Come support the team in their home opener at 5:15 on Thursday, September 12, against Urbana!

The Cross Country Team is off and running with a couple meets under their belts.

The team held their annual Run-a-Thon for Autism Speaks and raised $1600!

Girls Soccer won their home opener again Holy Child 6-0! The team is looking forward to a great season. Follow them at @BulldogsGSoccer

Boys Varsity Soccer turned in a great performance in defeating national power DeMatha 2-1 on goals by seniors, Sol Chambliss and Valentin Plastino . The team defense held Dematha scoreless from the run of play, allowing only a goal off of a set piece corner kick. Tuesday night, the boys defeated Good Counsel 4-2 with goals scored by Mateo Noguera, Valentin Plastino, Abdur Neama & Innis Slarcon.

Golf is starting off strong! After their first 3 play days, their record is 8-1 with two wins over both Wootton and Whitman. With half of the regular season completed the Dawgs are tied with Sherwood for 1st place in the county!

The Girls Volleyball teams are off to the start of a wonderful 2019 season with 16 girls on varsity and 15 on JV.  The caliber of players is wonderful.  Varsity is 1-1 so far and JV is 2-0! The initial match of the season against QO really helped to bring the teams together with both teams going to the final set with JV winning 2/1 and Varsity winning 3/2. The girls dug deep (both literally and mentally) to win their matches. The teams are working hard in practice and developing strong friendships and teamwork.  Varsity girls each have a ‘little sister’ on JV - a tradition started years ago to help the younger players have a more experienced player to go to with questions about volleyball or school. 

Looking forward into the season we have our big annual community night with the Dig Pink event on Monday, October 7 ^th . In addition to the volleyball matches, there is lots of fun including a contest for the best ‘Dig Pink’ with the winners receiving prizes. There is also a crazy serving contest. Everyone can compete!  The funds raised at the event go towards breast cancer research through the Side Out Foundation. It will be a community night with all students in the Churchill cluster getting into the event free. JV starts at 430pm and Varsity is at 630pm.  Come on out!!
