FREE WOOD ROUNDS

The maple rounds piled near the water tower are available to anyone who is willing to haul them away. First come, first served! Many of these pieces are large, heavy, and difficult to move. IF YOU HAVE A CHAINSAW AND ARE WILLING TO HELP CUT THE ROUNDS DOWN to more manageable sizes, your help would be most appreciated!

BACKFLOW TESTING

The Town’s backflow-testing program is complete for 2022, and bills will be sent in the next few weeks for those who chose to participate. If you did not participate, please be sure to get your BFD tested and results submitted to Clerk/ Treasurer Spens by the end of the summer.

TOWN TREES / PRIVATE TREES

The Town has a regular program for inspecting trees on Town property, but the hot weather over the last couple of years created more stress than normal for all our trees, both on public and private property. If you suspect that a tree on Town property is dead, diseased, or dying, please contact Councilmember Dix so she can arrange to have the Town Arborist assess it. If you have a similar tree on your property, please contact Deputy Clerk Tych for information about tree removals.

COUNCIL BUSINESS

The Council did not meet in August. Their next meeting will be on Tuesday September 12, 2022.

BUILDING DEPARTMENT

All necessary permits were issued last month for:

  • 2832 106th Pl SE: mechanical permit
  • 2820 105th Ave SE: tree removal permit

2022 Summer Pickleball - Well that’s a wrap! We had a great turnout on Monday and lots of games played. The dinner and acknowledgements were a fun way to end a great summer down at our beach courts. Thanks for everyone’s participation and delicious dinner offerings!
