DESTINATION DEVELOPMENT

New Grant Opportunity

Applications are now being accepted for "RECOVERY & DESTINATION DEVELOPMENT GRANTS" offered by Visit Canton.

The new grant program is intended to support projects that improve visitors' in-destination experience, aligning with the mission of the convention & visitors’ bureau to attract and engage visitors for economic growth in Stark County through travel and tourism.

Grant requests of up to $50,000 will be considered. Matching funds are required, and partnerships that maximize public and private investment are considered favorable.

Applications due by FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 19th.

Welcome Carole Camarata

Visit Canton is excited to welcome a new member to the team! Carole Camarata joins Visit Canton as Guest Service Administrative Specialist. Prior to joining the team at Visit Canton, Carole worked as a Visitor Information Specialist at the Akron Canton Airport. She resides in North Canton along with her husband and daughter.

As part of her role with Visit Canton, Carole engages regularly with guests and visitors:

Welcoming and assisting visitors and incoming calls
Requesting and displaying visitor information to assist Stark County travelers
Responding to visitors' requests for information
Sharing trip ideas and recommendations about the destination
