Congressman Correa

Secures $1 Million for Stanton's Public Safety

Center Upgrades

Exciting news for the City of Stanton!

Congressman Correa secured $1 million dollars in federal funding to support critical upgrades to our Public Safety Center. These improvements will ensure our community will be served safely and efficiently. Special thanks to Congressman Correa and everyone who made this possible!

FRC Open House

Mark your calendars because the Stanton Family Resource Center (FRC) is hosting an open house on Friday, September 13! You'll get the chance to learn more about the incredible services the FRC has to offer the community. Stop by for some delicious food, drinks, and live entertainment while meeting with FRC staff and partner agencies. Festivities begin at 5:30PM.

Bulky Items Drop-off Event

CR&R Environmental Services and the City of Stanton will staff and provide large containers at Carver Early Childhood Education Center on September 14, 2024, from 8am - 12 pm. (No items will be accepted after 12pm). Residents of the City may bring items that cannot be picked up on regular collection days, as well as loose items such as lumber. All residents must show proof of residency, photo identification, and/or a utility bill must be presented.

Out of School Time

Out of School Time Recreation (OST) is designed to provide Stanton youth with a safe and nurturing place during after-school and non-school hours and is still accepting enrollment! Activities may include, but are not limited to, homework assistance, reading, core curriculum lesson plans, character building, sports, recreation, leadership, artistic and cultural enrichment and healthy development activities. This free program is held from Monday through Thursday, from 3 to 6pm at the Stanton Family Resource Center.

Painting for Older Adults

This class offers older adults an individualized approach to learn painting and expression at their own pace and within their interest and style. Older adults will learn techniques in drawing, brush strokes, color mixing and application. All artists are welcome! All registrations for this class are processed through NOCE. FINANCE DEPARTMENT UPDATES

Business License Administration Services

The City will be completing the transition of the administration of the City’s business license program to its third party vendor, HdL Companies, by the end of the month. Business license applications and renewals will be administered through the third party vendor, through their online portal only, and not conducted at City Hall. Local businesses should be on the lookout for an email announcement with additional emails over the next several weeks containing specific information regarding the transition of the business license administration. Enterprise Resource Planning System

On August 27, 2024, City Council approved the purchase and implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning System to be utilized by the Finance Department. The project is estimated to take 12 months with a projected live date of October 2025.
