Shana Tova and G’mar Chatima Tova! For some of us the holidays may be defined by stress: corralling the family, fasting, repentance, and lots and lots and lots of cooking! But for me, as a Jew by choice for over 52 years, it means the heart-tug of Avinu Malkeinu, the pageantry of bouncing on our toes three times, bowing at unexpected moments, and drumming our hearts. It is the dance of the holidays that attracts me so much. The music is both ancient and new every year. For Sisterhood, we will build on our 116-year tradition of giving. We will continue handing out apples and honey for Rosh Hashanah and this year we will also host break the fast at Yom Kippur.
May this be a sweet year for you, your families, our country, and the world.
