BACnet/SC Reference Implementation
Open Source & SC Webinar Recordings Available!
We are pleased to announce the release into open-source of the BACnet Secure Connect (BACnet/SC) Reference Implementation.
BACnet/SC is a secure, encrypted datalink layer in the BACnet specification. In an effort to accelerate its adoption for the greater good of the building automation industry, BACnet International created the community-vetted implementation for BACnet/SC. This implementation is licensed for modification and production.

The BACnet/SC Reference Stack is a Java implementation of BACnet/SC which includes a sophisticated Test Bench that enables rapid creation of multiple nodes and hubs to simulate complex network environments.
The Reference Implementation provides Building Automation System providers with a quick way to ramp up their in-house BACnet/SC testing with a set of capabilities and scripts that can be used across multiple platforms.
We highly encourage all BACnet stack developers to freely incorporate this security solution.
As part of the BACnet/SC Interoperability Acceleration Program, we hosted three webinars on the BACnet/SC Reference Implementation. These were all recorded and are now available on the
BACnet International YouTube Channel.

The BACnet Institute (TBI) website in the
Community Forum section. TBI is an online learning environment that serves as a central source for BACnet-related education. It provides a collection of various FREE resources including interactive courses that offer CEUs, industry articles and lectures, and a knowledge-sharing forum where you can post questions for technical experts.
Please note that even though TBI is free to access it does require registration.
To sign up:
1. Complete the new user form (https://bacnet.mycrowdwisdom.com/diweb/signup). Once you click “Sign Up”, you should receive a message on your browser stating “Confirmation: your profile has been created. Click here to login.” From there log in using your new username and password.
2. On the home page, click the “Community” tab (the fourth green tab) and then scroll down to “Communities” and click on “Technical Forum”
3. You will see submitted questions there and you can also post a new question for our expert panel.
