RACE WEEKEND KICKS OFF WITH FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

Whether you are a runner, walker, 50 years old or 5, there is something for you on race weekend. Friday we kick off the Fox Cities Marathon weekend of events with our younger runners at the Guardian Kids Fun Run and Huggies Diaper Dash & Toddler Trot.

Then, the OSMS Health and Wellness Expo is the place to be on Friday and Saturday for all your running needs. You can find everything from gear, apparel or accessories at our expo with experts on site that will answer any questions you may have about how best suit YOU as an individual!

On Saturday the fun continues with the SCHEELS 10K, and the dog and stroller-friendly Ascension 5K Run/Walk.

Race-Ready Facts About

THE ASCENSION 5K RUN/WALK

The Ascension 5K Run/Walk lets participants run, jog or walk a 3.1 miles course all while raising funds for cancer research through the St. Elizabeth Hospital Foundation Cancer Fund
The course starts out along Lakeshore Ave. Trail with beautiful views of Lake Winnebago before weaving in and out of residential neighborhoods. There are also two water and Gatorade stations located on the 5K course. Participants will cross the same finish line as Sunday’s events in Riverside Park.
You can help make tie-blankets as part of the post-race experience. In 2021 Ascension St. Elizabeth Hospital received 40 blankets made by 5K participants.
We’re so excited to have Chick-Fil-A sponsor us again this year. Don’t forget to grab yourself a Chick-Fil-A sandwich after you’ve finished your race!
The Ascension 5k Run/Walk is stroller and dog friendly! Little riders and furry friends do not need to be registered.
