Happy Trails, Jody!
After 21 years of faithful service, longtime Maintenance Director, Jody Bankes, retired at the end of the summer to spend more time with his family and caring for his farm.
With capable hands and a servant’s heart, Jody blessed tens of thousands of campers, summer ministry staff, volunteers, families, and retreat guests throughout many seasons of outdoor ministry.
Though stepping back from his role, Jody won’t be far, he and his family are moving to their nearby home. In the coming months he will help pass along his deep knowledge of the camp facilities to his successor. This is a true sign of his love for Sugar Creek and his desire to see its ministry thrive for years to come.
We extend our heartfelt thanks and blessings to Jody, Val, their children, and grandchildren as they begin this next chapter.
