September 2018: What's New
Tell us how we're doing for a chance to win a $100 Amazon card!
Now through September 30, 2018, we are surveying parents, one of whom will be randomly selected to win a $100 Amazon card!

To be eligible, you must be a caregiver of at least one child under age 18 and live within the boundaries of the Snoqualmie Valley, Riverview, or Issaquah School Districts.

Your response will help us better understand our audience and improve our services to the public. Thank you for participating!
Immediate openings in Speech and Language, Occupational, Physical, and Behavioral Health Therapies!
We are happy to announce that we have openings in the clinic for speech and language, occupational, and physical therapies, as well as behavioral health!

Big changes in Parent-Child Home Program
Parent-Child Home Program (PCHP) is gearing up for another year, and there are some significant changes to the program that you should know about:

More Families Eligible
Encompass PCHP's primary funder has expanded its eligibility requirements, so beginning this year, many more families will now qualify for this program. To find out if your family is eligible, please contact us directly at 425.888.3347.

New Titles
PCHP Home Visitors are now called "Early Literacy Specialists," a title that more accurately reflects the critical role they play in nurturing early literacy.

New Early Literacy Lead
To help Encompass PCHP Manager Lynne Creed (pictured right with a PCHP family), Early Literacy Specialist Carolina Liendo has stepped into the new role of Early Literacy Lead.
Speech therapy in the Mobile Therapy Unit
One of our fabulous Speech-Language Pathologists, Tiana Bennett, is now taking the Encompass Mobile Therapy Unit to Carnation on Thursdays. She is providing speech therapy to both children in the Encompass Carnation Preschool as well as children in the community.

To learn more about enrolling in speech therapy from our Mobile Therapy Unit, please contact our Patient Care Coordinator at 425.888.3347.

RealNetworks Foundation Awards $10,000 to CHERISH
In August, RealNetworks Foundation awarded a grant of $10,000 to support the Encompass CHERISH program. Kathryn Shields from RealNetworks Foundation stopped by to deliver the award in person to our Director of Development Lisa Yamasaki and Grants Manager Laurie Gutenberg (pictured left).

Thank you RealNetworks Foundation for supporting foster families in our community!
Thank you to volunteers who helped us on Day of Caring!
Encompass hosted a volunteer group for United Way’s annual Day of Caring. On one day each year, over 10,000 volunteers give their time to organizations around King County.

Encompass hosted employees from Avanade for the fourth year in a row. Volunteers spent the whole day sprucing up the building, inside and out, by cleaning, weeding, creating a campfire area in the playground, and much more. Stop by and see the transformation! Thank you to all the volunteers for your hard work.
