On August 3rd, the Bardstown-Nelson County Chamber of Commerce held its last XLR8 class of the year at Holiday Inn, hosted by BNCC & ECTC.
This year’s subject matter is “It Starts With You, overcoming stressors in the workplace”. Our recent class covered Work-Life Balance, which dove into the benefits of work life balance, recognizing the signs of an unbalanced life, creating balance at work and at home, and how to manage stress. We learned tips and tricks such as learning time management, setting realistic goals for yourself, realizing signs of an imbalance in work and at home, and using employee resources. With a healthy work-life balance, both employers and employees can reap a range of benefits. Productivity is higher, absenteeism is lower, and physical and mental health improves with a higher commitment and motivation to work. Personal relationships can also benefit from achieving this balance.
We want to thank all our sponsors:
- Beam Suntory
- Town & Country Bank and Trust Co.
- LG&E and KU
- Lincoln National Bank
- Nelson County Public Library
- Elizabethtown Community & Technical College
- Holiday Inn Express
