Congratulations to these kids and their families
2-year-old Jonari was adopted on August 25, 2021 and we couldn't be happier for him.
Austin spent 1,624 days in foster care. On August 25, 2021 his dream of having a forever family came true.
NATIONAL KINSHIP CARE MONTH
NOAS is proud to partner with OhioKAN, a statewide kinship and adoption program designed to assist caregivers, families, and children.

NOAS is 100% committed to ensuring every kinship and adoption family in Ohio looking for support will get it. No matter who you are or what your circumstances may be — contact us because we are here for you! With the support of dedicated NOAS staff, OhioKAN’s 100% free services will help kinship and adoptive families in the following counties navigate and connect with all of the resources available locally and statewide: Ashtabula, Columbiana, Geauga, Lake, Mahoning, Portage, Stark and Trumbull.

BOARD MEMBER HIGHLIGHT
Mr. Burgan is the second-generation co-owner of Burgan Real Estate, following in his father’s footsteps. He is also the President of the Youngstown Columbiana Association of Realtors. Burgan Real Estate has grown to more than $100 million in sales, up from $52 million their first year as co-owners. The company has launched its “Better with Burgan” commitment to “growing agents, fulfilling client needs … and supporting the community.” Mr. Burgan has been a member of Boardman Rotary, created a grant for entrepreneurial students at Youngstown State University in honor of his father, and has been a trustee of the Penguin Club, a booster organization for YSU athletics. He is heavily involved in the local community and passionate about NOAS’ mission as he was adopted as a child. He joined the NOAS Board in 2019.

Are you interested in becoming a board member?

NOAS is also looking for new members for our Board of Directors. There is an application and approval process. Board meets nine times per year at 7:45 am at NOAS in Warren. The meetings last 60 to 90 minutes. A variety of professional experience is needed. Adoption experience is helpful but not required. Would you please email Cheryl Tarantino at ctarantino@noas.com?
