NATIONAL RECOVERY MONTH
This September marks National Recovery Month, which highlights the achievements of individuals who have rebuilt their lives through recovery from substance abuse and mental health disorders. National Recovery Month is recognized every September in order to educate Americans that substance abuse treatment and mental health services can help people live healthier, more rewarding lives. This hits home for many of our current and former foster youth who have experienced trauma in their lives. Learn more about National Recovery Month.

NOAS FEEL GOOD GOOSEBUMP STORY
Andrew enrolled into Bridges in June of 2019 soon after his 19th birthday. He is a college student at KSU and was hoping for some financial assistance through Bridges. Andrew has fabulous dreams and ambitions. One thing he wasn't able to achieve in foster care was getting his driver’s license. This was a goal for him from day one. With Bridges being able to provide money for his necessities, he was able to save and bought a car. Bridges helped with driver’s education. On August 17th, Andrew passed his driver’s test. He sent his worker a text "Hey!! I wanted to let you know that I got my license!!! So that goal is finally completed!! Also, I wanted to thank you because it definitely wouldn't have been possible without you and all your wonderful help."
LUTZ GREENHOUSE SHOP FOR A CAUSE
Lutz Greenhouse held a Shop for a Cause on September 5th and 6th to raise money for two great organizations - NOAS and Akron Children's Hospital. Thank you to everyone who stopped out and bought their home decor for fall and winter, because of you Lutz Greenhouse raised over $7,000. NOAS and Akron Children's Hospital each received over $3,500. Thank you Lutz Greenhouse. Be sure to stop at Lutz Greenhouse for all your fall and holiday decor.
