The Fall 2026 semester has officially begun, and we are thrilled to have your Greyhound on campus. This edition of the Parent and Family Newsletter has information about key resources for a successful year, ways for your student to get involved, and upcoming events.

Campus Resources. Looking for tips to share with your Greyhound? Click here for resources you might find helpful as an Assumption parent or family member.

These include the Office of Student Affairs, which is here to support your student’s experience every step of the way. There are also plenty of useful academic resources on campus, including the Denecker Career Development and Internship Center and the Academic Resource Center, to help students with new ways to grow.

Residential students can access resources on housing and living on campus from the Office of Residential Life, and those who are commuting can check out these resources. The Wellness Center offers a range of confidential services, from free counseling to health education programs, to support students’ mental and emotional well-being.

The Fall Athletics Season is Upon Us. The first home football game is tonight at 6:00 p.m. in Brian Kelly ’83 Stadium. Click here to see the full athletics schedule and learn more about how you can support and cheer on your Greyhounds.

Getting Involved. The Reach Out Center Engagement Fair will be held on Thursday, September 10, at 11:30 a.m. on the Hagan Lawn. Later that day, the annual Clubs and Activities Fair will be held at 4 p.m. on the Hagan Lawn. It’s a wonderful opportunity for your student to learn more about and get involved with the 50+ clubs, intramurals, and organizations here on campus.

Family Weekend and Homecoming. Assumption invites you to join the campus community for Homecoming & Family Weekend on Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4. The weekend will feature the Class of 2030 Honors Induction Ceremony, the Homecoming football game, Family Weekend Bingo, Sunday Mass, and additional family programming. Click here for more information.

Add/Drop Information. The last day for undergraduates to make schedule changes (add/drop courses) for the Fall 2026 semester is Friday, September 4, at 4 p.m. Students with any questions should reach out to their advisor before that time, as there are no changes after the deadline.

New Year, New Looks on Campus. Over the summer, teams from the Office of Business Services have been hard at work making enhancements to Assumption’s campus—from the first-year residence halls to Brian Kelly ’83 Stadium. Click here to read more about the renovations.
