The Power of Story: Colson Whitehead

We are thrilled to virtually welcome two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning author Colson Whitehead through Illinois Libraries Present! He is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Underground Railroad, The Nickel Boys, Harlem Shuffle, and more. Whitehead is only the fourth writer to win two Pulitzers in the Fiction category both in 2017 and 2020.

Weekly Storytimes Return

We're so excited to welcome you all back to storytime for our fall session! Weekly storytimes at the Library will return on Monday, September 11 with Family Storytime at 10 am.

Little Learners Playtime

This special Thursday morning playtime for children ages birth to 30 months will delight and inspire your little one! Meet new friends, build early literacy skills, and have a blast. Toys, books and activities just for babies and toddlers are provided. Now offered weekly! No registration required.

Gotta catch 'em all! Bring your own decks or play with the Library's cards! We'll focus on Pokémon (including Pokémon GO!) but all trading card games are welcome.
