TLC Open House

7th and 8th graders, Teen Library Club is back for another year of after-school hanging out at the Library! If you are curious about what TLC is all about or if you have been a part of it in the past and want to say hi, we will have the Clubhouse open from

The Power of Story: Colson Whitehead

We are thrilled to virtually welcome two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning author Colson Whitehead through Illinois Libraries Present! He is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Underground Railroad, The Nickel Boys, Harlem Shuffle, and more. Whitehead is only the fourth writer to win two Pulitzers in the Fiction category both in 2017 and 2020.

This special Thursday morning playtime for children ages birth to 30 months will delight and inspire your little one! Meet new friends, build early literacy skills, and have a blast. Gotta catch 'em all! Bring your own decks or play with the Library's cards! We'll focus on Pokémon (including Pokémon GO!) but all trading card games are welcome.
