Volume 2 , Issue 2 | September 2020
Welcome to the FISD e-newsletter where you can quickly learn what's happening in your school district!
It's good to be back.
Tomorrow, we will have been back in school for one month. I never before considered that just being back in the school building would feel like such a victory, but honestly, that is how it feels. I want to share with you that, at the time of this publication, not one student attending face-to-face instruction has been positively diagnosed with COVID-19. That tells me our students and staff are taking the precautions put in place seriously and for that, I am grateful. I know these aren’t easy things to remember or do, yet, we are able to continue with school in-person because we do them. Thank you, parents, for reinforcing the importance of the safety precautions in place at FISD. Remote Learning has been a challenging undertaking, but after surveying our parents and students, I can say that many students are flourishing in their new learning environment. So, while things don’t look exactly the same, I can tell you that it is good to be back preparing students for prosperous lives. But, it’s far better to hear it from our kids and staff. Click below to hear from them.
