Your excuse to skip work (and feel great about it)😎

What's happening: Our Day of Caring event is fast approaching and we need multiple volunteers to fulfill projects for local nonprofits and Ogden City. Projects range from painting walls to beautifying spaces.

Why it matters: By giving your time and skills, you help support essential services, uplift neighbors, and create a more connected place for everyone. And hey, stepping away from the desk for a good cause isn’t a bad bonus either.

Key details: Each project has it's own day, time, and details so when you sign up look at the description in Give Pulse for details and any items you may need to bring such as gloves. All volunteers will receive a free shirt and meal.

Get cereal for only $1.50

The low down: We are holding our annual cereal sale fundraiser where anyone can come and buy boxes of Post brand cereal for only $1.50 per box with a limit of up to 50 boxes per person.

Why It Matters: All proceeds go towards United Way programs that provide multiple vital resources to Northern Utah.

Key Details: The event will be held at the Box Elder Fairgrounds on September 27th and will begin at 7AM.

Insider Tips: Even though the event starts at 7AM you likely want to get there early because the line gets long very quickly and the cereal goes even quicker! If you plan to get multiple boxes then we recommend bringing a wagon of some sort to make the process as easy as possible!

Help kids read and succeed πŸ“–

What's happening: Local students need caring adults to read to them throughout the school year so they can become better and more confident readers themselves. We are searching for these caring adults to volunteer throughout the school year.

Why It Matters: According to a study done by Chapin Hall, they found that if a child was at or above grade reading level then they had a higher college enrollment rate. Significant grades include 3rd and 8th grade as early predictors.

Key Details: Volunteers for this position are required to volunteer at least two hours per week at the same consistent time and day during the school day. Volunteers are expected to commit to at least 1 school year of tutoring.

We bring the projects, you bring the change.

Story to Make You Smile: "Multiple times I've helped build, set up, and finish little libraries throughout [Ogden] city. It's fulfilling to help out and know I'm helping provide free books to low income families. Every time I drive around Ogden I see them up and being used and I have a sense of pride and joy knowing I made a meaningful and long lasting impact to the community."
