LYNX®/LYNX APPS COMMUNICATION VIA TEXT

This month we set up technology to let us send rapid communications via text to those who have the Lynx Control System and the Lynx Apps.  We have assembled a complete database for people that need to be alerted. In the future, if there are important messages or notices, we will send you a text from "313131" with a link to the information. We have found that Toro NSN sends emails and that may not always be the quickest way to alert you. Please let us know if you have someone you might want added to the database to get the updates.

PREPARE FOR YOUR FALL PROJECTS NOW

Will you be doing an irrigation, drainage, or lighting project this fall? If so, please share your materials list with us very soon so we can give notice to our suppliers and work to secure the materials. Many vendors are predicting that they will continue to struggle to maintain inventories through the fall and winter. Their reasons include raw material challenges, manufacturing challenges, COVID-19 compliances, shipping challenges and in some cases higher demand.

This all plays a part in 2020 - the year of challenges. By getting us the information soon will give us the best chance to prepare with our vendors to have the products when you need them!

IMPROVE YOUR CENTRAL'S ABILITY TO SURVIVE LIGHTNING
From the maker of the Strike Guard lightning detection system and WAVE sirens, we now have a great option to remove the ground differential inherent with irrigation control system centrals.  This is a high quality isolation transformer for your irrigation central (works with all brands) that can be installed to protect your control system!  For more information on the isolation transformer, click here, for a wiring diagram, click here, or contact your service technician for a turn-key installed quote today.

A SIMPLE GROUND CHECK CAN SAVE YOU MONEY
Irrigation systems earth grounds need to be maintained.  It is recommended to check your grounds every 3 to 5 years. Most irrigation control systems have built-in surge protection that relies on a good earth ground connection to dissipate the surge. If you find yourself replacing or repairing more circuit boards or decoder modules each year, have your grounds checked. Our service technicians have the equipment and can check your grounds for you and present you with an actionable report of recommendations. Give your service technician a call today!
IRRIGATION TECH TRAINING - PUMP STATION FOCUS
We have not finalized dates and locations for next February-March yet, but our intent is to conduct our yearly training meetings in small groups (in person) if we can and virtually if we cannot.  We are under way on producing the content for the training classes.  This will be year four of the four year content rotation.  Pump stations are the heart of any irrigation system and too often misunderstood or neglected.  This will be fun and educational as we take cameras and go with pump repair specialists as they explain what their trained eyes see.
