A Message From Braden Keith

Thank you for your support.

Your ongoing support brings support and education to families. According to National Family Support Network, every $1 invested in a Family Resource Center results in $3-$4 of savings for the child welfare system per year! Most importantly, an investment in our Family Resource Center helps children have safety and nurturing childhood experiences---and that is priceless. Become a Partner in Prevention today!

Tillman Clocktower 5K Race And Health Walk A Record Setting Event

Saturday, August 17th, was a beautiful sunny day after a soaking rain the night before. 500 runners and walkers started the day off at Heritage Park at the 39th Annual Tillman Clocktower 5K Run & 2-Mile Health Walk, raising money for the Family Resource Center, and bringing awareness to the work of our Parent Aides in the prevention of child abuse and neglect. Men’s race winner was Sam Lindley, age 17, with a time of 17:25, and Women’s race winner was 42 year old Kate Barron, with a time of 21:05.

Several of our top tier sponsors provided a festive atmosphere in the park, setting up tents and interacting with participants and their families by handing out food, beverages, and promotional items.

We are grateful to the 40 sponsors who provided $41,000 this year, and to all of our donors, volunteers and participants. We are pleased to announce that this year resulted in record net income, exceeding $45,600

Family Resource Center Out In The Community

Thank You Eggs Up Grill

A huge thank you to Eggs Up Grill for a donation to the Family Resource Center of $1000. This was part of the restaurant's "Smiles For Good" program.

Please stop by and thank them for their most generous contribution.

Thank you Sara Hightower Regional Library for securing a grant this summer to promote reading. This project provided 450 bags with books and materials. Thank you River City Bank staff for stuffing these bags. The library also hosted a special edition of their popular Story Hour...lunch included! Together we are helping children get "Ready to Read"!.

We also had a chance to participate in two recent community fairs: Multi-Cultural Fair hosted by Hospitality House and a school supply drive hosted by Crosspoint Church in Rome. We met new families and also reconnected with several program graduates (who are doing great!).

Tina Tells Our Story On The Web

Our Executive Director Tina Bartleson has been interviewed by "When In Rome", an information program that lets people know what is going on in our city and how they can join in.

Tina suggests that you pour yourself another cup of coffee and click on the following link for a more in-depth look into the Family Resource Center.
