Recently I had the opportunity to meet Kasi Adams, the executive director of Choices of the Heart Pregnancy Center in Statesboro. Of the ministry Kasi says,
“Choices of the Heart Pregnancy Resource Center is a Christ-centered ministry dedicated to serving women and families facing unexpected pregnancies with compassion, truth, and practical support. We provide pregnancy testing, limited ultrasounds, options counseling, parenting education, material assistance, and continued encouragement—all at no cost to our clients. In every appointment, our desire is to create a safe place where women feel seen, heard, and valued.
At the heart of our ministry is the belief that every life is precious to God and every person is worthy of being pursued with His love. Whether we are supporting an expectant mother, equipping a new parent, or walking alongside someone during a difficult season, we seek to meet both physical and spiritual needs while sharing the hope of Jesus Christ. Through the faithful support of local churches, donors, and volunteers, Choices of the Heart continues to protect life, strengthen families, and remind our community that no one has to walk through an unexpected pregnancy alone.”
I am grateful for the ministry of Choices of the Heart and the vital work they do in our community. As Baptists, we believe that every human life is created in the image of God and is precious in His sight (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 139:13–16). Our commitment to the sanctity of life should be expressed not only in what we believe, but also in how we serve. Crisis pregnancy centers give us a practical opportunity to come alongside mothers and families facing difficult circumstances with compassion, encouragement, and tangible support. I am excited about the opportunity to support a ministry that stands for life while demonstrating the love and grace of Christ to those who need it most.
