Grandma's Homemade Ice Cream has added several new flavors to our Ice Cream menu for Bourbon Fest. *Bourbon Coffee, *Fireball Bourbon, *Root Beer Bourbon, *Bourbon Fudge, Dill Pickle, Blueberry Cheesecake and Candied Maple Bacon.

In addition to Banana, Black Raspberry/chocolate, Butter Pecan, Chocolate, Coffee Crunch, Cookie Monster, Lavender Honey, Lemon Crunch, Maple Nut, Mint Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter/Chocolate Swirl, Pralines and Caramel, Strawberry and Vanilla.

CrossFit Cask Strength

On 10 Sept, 2022 CrossFit Cask Strength held a fundraiser for the Lost Boys Foundation Dedicated to research for Bilateral Multicystic Dysplastic Kidney. This means both kidneys are riddled with cysts, thus creating little to no amniotic fluid. The fluids are needed for certain organs to grow, in this case, the lungs. Outside of the kidney issues, most children who are diagnosed with Bilateral MCDK develop little to no lungs and to raise awareness to MCDK, to help other families who suffer from MCDK. The goal here at the Lost Boys Foundation is to raise money and to donate it to hospitals in hopes of helping with treatment and prevention of MCDK.

We raised over $1000 at the event.

Nelson County Community Clinic

The Nelson County Community Clinic is holding a free educational seminar concerning Medicare on Tuesday, September 20th, at 6:00 p.m. at the Nelson County Public Library. Jo Escue with the Lincoln Trail Area Development District State Health Insurance Program (LTADD SHIP) will be the presenter for this seminar.

Medicare open enrollment happens from October 15 through December 7 every year, giving you a dedicated time period to review your Medicare coverage and change it if necessary. The NCCC has counselors on hand to review your plans and help you make appropriate changes to ensure you are in the best plan for you.
