Newly Housed Clients

David

David lost his job at the Walt Disney Concert Hall during the COVID-19 pandemic. Unable to afford rent, David was forced out of his apartment and survived by living out of his car and sleeping on the streets. David’s health worsened during this time, and he developed type 2 diabetes. Soon after, David was admitted to a hospital and was connected with Ascencia. 

 

Through his own perseverance and with the support of Ascencia’s Case Management team, David received medical assistance for his health condition and found new employment as a Sales Trainer. He now lives in a one-bedroom apartment in Burbank. David is requesting your help to transition into stability:

Lily

Lily’s life took a sharp turn after she lost her job in the midst of the pandemic. Lily and her teenage daughter sought shelter in a relative’s home for as long as they could until they were forced to seek shelter elsewhere. After weeks of living in motels and recreation parks, LA Family Housing connected Lily and her daughter to Ascencia. 

 

Today, thanks to her optimism and Ascencia’s case management and mental health services, Lily has regained employment as a cashier and moved into a safe, secured one-bedroom home. Lily is asking for the basic home essentials for her and her daughter to transition into their new home:

Amanda

Amanda and her children were forced out of a relative's home in Tujunga following disputes with the property manager. At the time, Amanda was pregnant and could not afford a new place to stay. For months, the family alternated between staying at friends' houses and on park benches. Soon after, LA Family Housing connected Amanda to Ascencia. 

 

Supported by Ascencia's case management services, Amanda was able to work on her housing plan. Today, Amanda and her three children have moved into a lovely Los Angeles home. Amanda is seeking the following essentials for her family's new home:
