Dear Friends and Art Collectors,

It’s still quite warm here and even though the big yellow buses have started to be seen on the road, my mind is still sitting on a beach, staring at the ocean or sketching the people. It’s no secret that summer is my favorite season, but I am looking forward to “going back to work” next week and teaching my weekly classes.

Is it my imagination or has time sped up?

Please invite your friends and family to join me Monday, September 19, 5-8pm at Art in Bloom Gallery (Mayfaire) for the Opening Reception of Restaurants+ART. This has been a wonderful project and experience. The owners and chefs of the restaurants have been 110% behind it and kindly welcomed me into their kitchens and dining rooms. I’ve been interviewed by Wilmington Magazine about the project and what it means for the town, and I'll be sure to share that interview when it's available.

New work has started forming in my studio, I’m planning two new series, as well as revisiting some older works with new eyes.
