Happy September to all our KYH members and a big welcome to our new ones!
As we settle into the transition of a new season and uncertain beginnings for some, we wish everyone peace and ease, which the practice of yoga can help bring into our daily life. Tomorrow, September 8, marks the beginning of our Fall Class Schedule and we are excited to be offering a vibrant selection of classes, all listed below. As well, several upcoming events are all detailed below. Read on for all the details and a special message to Tricia!
Please note, to avoid disappointment, please register early due to maximum occupancy of 9 students for in studio classes.
Farewell and Goodluck to Tricia in Saskatchewan!
We are sad to say goodbye to Tricia as she moves on to greener pastures in Saskatchewan!
KYH would like to take this opportunity to thank Tricia for all her years of enthusiastic teaching and dedication to Kelowna Yoga House. You will be missed dearly, but we wish you the very best in this next new and exciting phase of life! Thank You, Tricia!

Complimentary Online Beginner Yoga Class

Everyone is welcome for this complimentary online class where you will receive step by step instruction in a sequence of postures (asanas) to help with concentration, focus, strength and flexibility.
Sign up is necessary to receive the login information for this class.

This Series of Classes is a fantastic starting place in order to learn the basics of Iyengar Yoga. Foundations is for students with no prior yoga experience, or beginners wishing a refresher course. You will begin to
develop focus, postural alignment, strength & flexibility in a safe,
systematic, and effective approach.
Kelowna Yoga House is hosting an Iyengar Yoga Workshop ONLINE 

Louie Ettling is a long-time yoga teacher. She considers
herself fortunate to have found an Iyengar yoga class at a Vancouver community centre in the mid eighties, taught by Wende Davis. Since then Louie studied directly with BKS Iyengar and regularly with his family, at the
Iyengar (RIMYI) institute in Pune, India. Her learning has
been enriched through her studies with excellent Canadian and international teachers.
 
October 3 & 4, 2020 
9 am - 11 am and 3 pm to 5 pm both days (8hrs total)

Honey Zucchini Loaf
Ingredients:
3 eggs
1 cup Honey
1 cup vegetable oil
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups packed, finely shredded zucchini
3 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1-1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cups raisins (optional)


In large bowl beat the eggs well. Gradually beat in honey, then oil and vanilla. Stir in zucchini. In separate bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir into zucchini mixture along with nuts and raisins.

Pour batter into 2 greased loaf pans. Bake in 350 F oven for 50-60 minutes. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto rack to cool.
