Process Safety Management
The Process Safety Management or PSM Training Module. 29 CFR 1910.119 is the OSHA Standard that contains requirements for preventing or minimizing the consequences of catastrophic releases of toxic, reactive, flammable, or explosive chemicals. These releases may result in toxic, fire or explosion hazards. PSM clarifies the responsibilities of employers and contractors involved in work that affects or takes place near a covered process to ensure the safety of both plant and contractor employees is considered.
Respiratory Protection
Hundreds of deaths and thousands of illnesses can be avoided annually by properly instructing users exposed to hazardous air contaminants. Respirators are a worker’s first line of defense against areas with insufficient oxygen, harmful dusts, fogs, smokes, mists, gases, vapors, and sprays.
