College Hunks Hauling Junk & Moving threw a party to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting for its new 50,000-square-foot headquarters in Drew Park, near Tampa International Airport. MORE
Westshore Business Center
Keating Resources  recently hosted an open house for its Westshore Business Center located at 5400 Southern Comfort Boulevard fronting Hillsborough Ave. at Veterans Expressway. The company is investing $4.5 million to renovate and lease the four vacant buildings totaling 166,255 square feet on 11 acres. View the leasing flyer HERE, and view open house photos HERE.
The grand opening of Chick-fil-A Tampa Stadium located at 2551 N. Dale Mabry Highway was held August 31 with week-long events and special offers. Owner Carlos Brito hired 80 employees for the restaurant, which offers high-volume drive-thru capacity, outdoor seating and a playground. MORE
Westwood Center on Lois Ave.
Cushman & Wakefield announced completed renovations to the Westwood Center located at 2002 N. Lois Ave. Renovation highlights to the 128,757-square-foot, 8-story office building include a repainted exterior, new landscaping and remodeled atrium lobby. MORE

Additionally, large-scale interior and exterior renovations are coming soon to the Airport Executive Center located at 2203 N. Lois Ave. MORE
Taylor Morrison of Florida Inc. purchased A La Carte Event Pavilion located at 4050 Dana Shores Drive. The 15-acre waterfront site is expected to be transformed to a residential community. MORE
Morgan Auto Group has purchased Jerry Ulm Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, which is located at 2966 N. Dale Mabry Hwy. MORE
Westshore Areawide Development of Regional Impact Update
The Westshore Alliance recently notified the City of Tampa of our intent to exercise buildout and expiration date extensions for the Westshore Areawide Development of Regional Impact (DRI) in connection with several executive orders issued by the Governor. Once confirmed by the city, the new buildout date for the DRI will be August 24, 2023. As many of you know, the Westshore Alliance is the holder of the Westshore Areawide DRI which provides entitlements for office, retail, hotel and residential development in Westshore with pre-negotiated mitigation for the transportation impact of development. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is hosting a webinar series for those interested in learning more about how transportation is planned, developed, funded and implemented. The Citizens Transportation Academy begins September 15. MORE
The second round of FDOT's Tampa Bay Next Working Group Community Meeting for Westshore, West Tampa and South Tampa is September 19, from 5:30 - 7:30 pm at The Centre Club. See the full list of public outreach events HERE.
Beginning October 8, there will be changes to HART bus routes in Westshore, including the addition of new service to Tampa International Airport. View changes to the system HERE.
The City of Tampa's new Public Road Closure Map features up-to-date current and future road closure information. View transportation advisories and road closure map information on the City's website. In addition, those who would like to receive Westshore Alliance traffic alert emails on road construction projects in the Westshore District may subscribe HERE
The Westshore Alliance partners with the Tampa Bay Area Regional Transit Authority (TBARTA) to assist commuters and business owners/managers with services and ways to conserve and cut the costs associated with the commute to and from work. Hillsborough County Commissioner Sandy Murman, in association with CareerSource Tampa Bay and Hillsborough Community College, is hosting a County Job Fair on October 13 at HCC's Dale Mabry Campus. Employers are encouraged to participate. MORE
