Blessings in a Backpack food meets USDA standards for the National School

Lunch and Breakfast Program?

Our menu items are good sources of protein, low in sodium and sugar, and made with whole grains.

In addition, the food we serve does not require refrigeration, needs little to no preparation, and is peanut-free. Since some children do not have access to appliances or a can opener, the food is easy to open and ready

 to eat.

Trick or Treat

Kind of a scary thought that there’s more than enough candy but not enough food. As little as $175 will feed a child on the weekends for the entire school year.

This Halloween, ditch the candy and trick or treat to help feed a kid this school year! Instead of asking for candy, ask for small bills and loose change to feed a hungry kid.

Print out this flyer to hand out. The flyer outlines the Blessings in a Backpack mission and why it’s important to you to help feed kids facing food insecurity.
