What We're Following The New York Times asks, "Does teacher diversity matter in student learning?" • Stuck in Vermont showcases Champlain Elementary's Farm to School work in Burlington, VT (a Farm to School Institute alumni school!). Farm concerts don’t make farmers any money. The New Food Economy asks, "So why do farmers host them?" • "How School Food Purchases Are Moving The Needle For The Local Food Movement." Via Forbes. • For the fourth year, The James Beard Foundation held one of their 2018 Chefs Boot Camp for Policy and Change at the Farm.
