I hope you all had a good summer! I took an unannounced break in July and August as you may have noticed in your inbox. However, if you follow me on social media you would have seen me there almost every day (some break, huh?) You can follow me on Social Media at any of these platforms: Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook. Additional Sea Turtle pages: Instagram, Facebook.
As I immerse myself in saving sea turtle hatchlings on the beach a couple of nights a week through September, I thought it would be appropriate to make this newsletter issue about my sea turtle art. Living a block from the beach, sea turtle reminders are everywhere, from dimming lights between April and October, to taped off nests up and down the beach. It was natural for me to make sea turtles part of my body of work.
My loose painting style includes the colors, shapes and textures that I see in a reference photo, followed by fine brush details added at the end.
These original paintings range from 6x6" to framed 20x20" and framed 17x13" to 22x16". All are painted on 20# watercolor paper. Click on the links beneath the images to see full details on each painting on my website.
These are reproductions of my work, enlarged and printed on high quality paper behind 1/4" acrylic glass. They are designed for large spaces and because of the thickness of the acrylic appear dimensional. The acrylic gives them a watery feel. Sleek with no need for frames.
Custom sizing is available which will be proportional to the original painting proportions. I can crop for special sizing needs (change a horizontal into a square for instance).
