Vestibular Rehab to Help Relieve

Vertigo & Dizziness

Balance Awareness Week is September 14-20

Struggling with dizziness, vertigo, imbalance, or vision disturbances? Vestibular disorders affect the inner ear and brain, often causing symptoms like lightheadedness, coordination difficulties, and fatigue.

At IMPACT Physical Therapy & Sports Recovery, we offer Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy (VRT)—a proven treatment designed to reduce dizziness, improve balance, and restore confidence in daily activities.

Our expert physical therapists customize VRT programs using targeted exercises such as habituation, gaze stabilization, and balance training. We also have a Balance and Fall Prevention Program.

Whether your vestibular disorder is caused by aging, injury, or unknown factors, our specialized care can help you regain stability and improve quality of life.

Schedule a vestibular rehab appointment at our Norridge, Lakeview, South Loop, Hinsdale, Naperville, or Champaign clinics today to start your path to recovery.

Vestibular rehabilitation therapy is a very successful and popular treatment method for people suffering from vestibular disorders such as vertigo, dizziness, hearing disturbances, and psychological issues such as anxiety and depression.

Hip Labral Tears:

Causes, Symptoms, and Treatment

A hip labral tear occurs when the cartilage ring (labrum) that supports the hip joint is damaged, often from repetitive stress, sports like soccer, hockey, or running, or conditions such as hip impingement.

Symptoms may include hip or groin pain, stiffness, clicking, or weakness that limits daily activities like walking, squatting, or climbing stairs.

While hip labral tears don’t heal on their own, physical therapy is often the first step in treatment—focusing on reducing pain, improving hip mobility, and strengthening surrounding muscles to protect the joint. In more severe cases, surgery may be needed, followed by rehabilitation.

If hip pain is keeping you from moving comfortably, our physical therapists can help you restore strength so you can get back to the activities you love.

Reset Your Body This Back-to-School &

Back-to-Work Season

Whether you’re heading back to the classroom, back to the office, or back into a workout routine, long hours of sitting, stress, or new activity can leave your body feeling stiff and sore.

Our Therapeutic Massage Tune Up is a focused 30-minute session designed to target nagging pain, tight muscles, or tension that builds from studying, commuting, or desk work.

Using advanced techniques like Active Release Therapy (ART), cupping, or trigger point dry needling, our tune-ups help improve mobility, reduce stress, and keep your body performing at its best.

Blog: What are Signs of a Concussion?

A concussion is a traumatic brain injury often caused by a fall, accident, or contact sport, and its symptoms may appear immediately or days later.

Common signs include headaches, nausea, blurred vision, confusion, fatigue, memory loss, and sensitivity to light or noise. Proper diagnosis from a doctor is crucial, as symptoms can worsen over time.

Treatment typically involves both physical and mental rest, limiting strenuous activities, and gradually reintroducing normal routines.

At IMPACT Physical Therapy & Sports Recovery, our experts provide concussion rehab services to help patients recover safely and return to their daily activities.

We have concussion experts at our Lakeview, South Loop, Hinsdale, Naperville, Oak Lawn, and Champaign clinics!
