September Monthly Message

September brings the unofficial start of fall—and with it, cooler days, beautiful foliage, and a renewed sense of energy throughout our wonderful Town. As we head into the season, there is plenty to look forward to, from new community events and updates around Town to opportunities to celebrate the people and organizations that help make Bermuda Run such an exceptional place to call home.

Let’s take a look at what’s happening!

September 11: A Community Remembrance

This September 11 marks the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on our nation. It is a day to pause and remember the lives lost, honor the courage and sacrifice of those who responded, and express our enduring gratitude to the men and women who serve and protect our communities and our country.

WinMock and the Advance Fire Department will again this year display a giant 30’x50’ U.S. flag on September 11 at the barn from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm to honor the courage and sacrifice of our first responders on 9/11.

A commemorative wreath on behalf of the Town will be on display for those who would like to pay their respects.

9/11 Freedom Concert & Vendor Stroll

Enjoy an evening filled with patriotic spirit, music by Chasing Phoenix, and the Stroll Vendor Market!

When: Friday, September 11

Where: Bermuda Run Country Club/Complimentary Entry

Vendor Market | 5:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Chasing Phoenix Concert | 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Outside food and beverage is prohibited. Don't forget to bring your lawn chair or blanket. Open to the public and all ages welcome!

New Town Event! County Fair on the Town Green

Mark your calendars! We’re bringing county-fair fun right here to Bermuda Run with our new County Fair on the Town Green.

Gather your family, invite your neighbors, and come enjoy an afternoon filled with live music, FREE seasonal food, pumpkins, games, and an array of local vendors showcasing specialty crafts, farmers’ market favorites, and more.

Whether you come for the music, the food, the furry friends, or simply the chance to spend a fall afternoon with neighbors and friends, there will be something for everyone.

We hope you’ll join friends from across Bermuda Run as we kick off the fall season together on the Town Green!

Traffic Calming Update

At its August 11 meeting, the Town Council received the findings of a comprehensive speed and traffic-calming study conducted by STV Inc, a leading transportation planning firm. The study included Kinderton Village and Ivy Circle and identified several potential safety and traffic calming improvements. Moving forward, the Town Council will prioritize consideration of proven measures, including enhanced signage and visibility, pedestrian and accessibility improvements, and physical traffic-calming features.

AI Data Center Town Council Statement



AI Data Centers are headlines in our county and across the nation. On July 6, the Davie County Board of Commissioners unanimously adopted a one-year (12-month) moratorium on the construction and development of data centers.

After research and careful consideration, the Town Council issued the following statement at its August 11 meeting: 

“The Town of Bermuda Run supports the Davie County Board of Commissioners’ decision to adopt a temporary, one-year moratorium on data center development. A temporary moratorium gives Davie County the opportunity to plan before it permits. Bermuda Run supports the County taking the time necessary to develop thoughtful standards that balance economic opportunity, infrastructure capacity, environmental responsibility, and the quality of life of our residents.”

Recognizing Our Homeowners Associations

Our homeowners associations play an important role in making Bermuda Run an exceptional place to live. We appreciate the many residents who volunteer their time to serve on HOA boards, support their neighborhoods, and help keep our community connected.

We encourage residents to make your HOA a resource. Questions about matters specific to your neighborhood, including community rules, common areas, and neighborhood amenities, are best answered by your HOA board and president.

The Town Council and staff also work closely with our HOAs, including through the Town of Bermuda Run HOA Presidents group, to share timely and accurate information and help keep residents informed. We value this partnership and the important role our HOA leaders play in our community.
