CIHS: Transformative Education, Transcendent Experience

We have been working hard all summer long to introduce a new homepage! New updates include: beautiful imagery, representative of our consciousness-based curriculum and emphasis on the mind-body-spirit connection, as well as our unique Southern California coastal location. We offer a new, streamlined, accessible path to each of our three schools and programs: Psychology, Integral Health, and Noetic Sciences. We also feature our three distinct degree pathways (BA completion, Masters, and Doctoral degrees), and offer a chance for the viewer to meet our distinguished program directors. You'll also find some fun facts about the institution and have a chance to view our upcoming public programs. Check out our new homepage and let us know what you think! We hope you will love the updates as much as we do.
CIHS 30-Year Anniversary Series continues next week with
Trustee, Dr. Rick Gold, and friend of CIHS, Yuval Ron

The therapeutic utilization of sound and music, one of the oldest if not the oldest healing modalities on the planet, in recent years has become one of the most sought after and researched techniques of our time.

The use of sound as a healing technique precedes recorded human history, and as a healing technique and in spiritual rituals is mentioned in the oldest texts of many traditions from across the globe. The first known use of music as a healing force comes from the Australian Aborigines who are known to have used the didgeridoo as a healing tool for more than 40,000 years. In recent years, the therapeutic field of Sound Healing has gained significant acceptance by modern medicine and science due to its effective applications in studies and clinical practice.

This presentation will explore the use of sound in the healing and meditative traditions of China and India. Attendees will be encouraged to participate in some activities. In addition, current research will be presented and discussed. Of special interest will be emerging research in the field of neuroscience and the treating of cognitive function. Dr. Gold and Yuval Ron will also share the groundbreaking work of his production company, Metta Mindfulness Music in the realm of plant music.

CIHS is proud to welcome Dr. Richard Gold and Yuval Ron September as part of our 30-Year Anniversary Series, for their presentation: Ancient Wisdom & Modern Science: Explorations in Sound Healing. This event has a suggested donation of $25. Click the link above to register, and then head over to donate with the button below. Your donation makes more events like this possible.

Do you know what the chakras are and how they affect our perception of reality? Did you know that your intuitive faculties through the chakras centers are ‘on’ 24/7? This course is for anyone who desires to know more about the chakras, intuition, and perception/perspective of reality.

The Chakras: Perception and Awakening is an interactive course seeks to expand one’s awareness of the chakra system in a qualitative (expanded awareness) and experiential manner. The chakras are our conduits of consciousness, not just energy. Through this course the participant will awaken their knowledge, intuition and awareness of how our intuitive faculties are ‘on’ 24/7 and how the chakras affect our perception of reality.

Each chakra is the center of one or more intuitive abilities, and that the ‘exposition’ (how the soul quality externalizes to the physical dimension) is profoundly affected by the measure of the use of the tools and faith that stimulates the chakras to awaken and deeply affect the psychology of our being.
A Certificate of Completion will be awarded by CIHS.
