SSKP Volunteers Gather in Gratitude

On Sunday, August 25th, SSKP volunteers gathered together on the beautiful grounds of at Grace Episcopal Church for a special appreciation picnic. It was a wonderful celebration of gratitude for our amazing volunteers, staff, Board, and supporters. Everyone enjoyed the gorgeous weather, delicious food, the fellowship of friends old and new, and music by Band of Friends. What a beautiful day!

Old Saybrook Youth & Family Food Drives

Throughout the summer youth from Old Saybrook Youth & Family Service's annual summer camp held food drives for our SSKP Old Saybrook Pantry, collecting hundreds of pounds of non-perishable food and community donations. These teams of caring youth made a real difference.

Kitchings Foundation Supports SSKP

Shoreline Soup Kitchens & Pantries received a generous grant from the Kitchings Family Foundation in support of our mission to provide food and fellowship to those in need on the shoreline. Special thanks to Chester W. Kitchings Jr. and to the Kitchings Family Foundation for all you do for for SSKP.

Attend the SBNTF Meeting with Faith Community Guests

You’re invited! The Shoreline Basic Need Task Force (SBNTF) is holding a meeting on Thursday, Sept. 5th at 9:30am with special guests from local faith communities.

Join in a discussion of needs in our region including hunger, housing, and economics, and make new connections with local organizations and faith community leadership.


The Shoreline Basic Needs Task Force is a collaboration of community groups and concerned people, working to affect change that increases self-sufficiency among vulnerable individuals and families in need along the Connecticut Shoreline.
