Congratulations to all the Hands4Hope - Youth Making A Difference on-campus middle and high school Club leaders for getting the school year off to a great start! The spotlight is on you this month. Leaders are elected into their positions by their peers. Since the start of the school year, they have been busy sharing their Hands4Hope Club opportunity with their classmates and preparing for the year-long service-learning program. Please take a moment to meet the leaders of the fifteen on-campus Hands4Hope Clubs, who meet on campuses from Folsom to Placerville.

MEET ON-CAMPUS CLUB LEADERS

Tickets are still available to join the fun on September 28 for the 4th Annual Hands4Hope Endless Summer Beach Party, an adults-only evening of delicious catered dinner, local beer and wine, dancing and games with a live band, and incredible silent auctions and raffles. Plus, this year we will be joined by special guests from a galaxy "Far far away", courtesy of the 501st Legion Central California Garrison. This event is a cornerstone fundraiser that supports Hands4Hope - Youth Making A Difference programs for the 2024-25 program year.

GET TICKETS

Whether or not you can attend Endless Summer Beach Party, you can still participate in the silent auction, which opens online on Monday, September 23 and anyone, anywhere can bid and win! Our community of supporters has donated amazing vacations, experiences, wine, golf, family entertainment, handmade art creations, and so much more. Mark your calendar and look for an email announcing when the auction is open.

Another way to participate is by helping "rescue" some of our special friends and supporters from the Dark Side! Read their stories and help them raise the funds they need for their rescue. Every donation is matched dollar for dollar up to $60,000 by generous donors and community members, including the Hanson Family, Handler Farms, and the Nicholson Family!

RESCUE FROM THE DARK SIDE

During the Summer of 2024, many Hands4Hope alumni kept their connection to the organization strong by participating in Committees and Community Outreach Opportunities like the School Supply Drive, Kids Zone Area at the El Dorado Hills Town Center Fireworks & Freedom Concert, Leadership Camps, and much more. This month's Alumni Spotlight is on them, and why they keep coming back.

One "why" comes from Siena Campbell, who was a Marketing Intern for the second summer in a row: "It was incredibly rewarding to see how much the fundraising pages I created positively affected the community I grew up in!"

We are so proud of the 2024 School Supply Drive Committee for a successful distribution event that provided backpacks stuffed full of supplies to 633 students in need! Hands4Hope youth participants worked for months to prepare for the distribution day in August, and together with dozens of local business partners, countless community donors, and other partners, they were able to ensure that local students started the year off in a healthy and prepared way. Hands4Hope Media Intern Cloud Petersen put together a fantastic video illustrating the whole process, and we hope you will take a look!

SCHOOL SUPPLY VIDEO WRAP UP

Hands4Hope Middle and High School Leadership Camps are often cited as a participant's favorite memory during their time as a Hands4Hope youth. These camps are facilitated by the Youth Board Executive Committee with support by Hands4Hope staff, and set up the elected middle and high school Club leaders for a successful service-learning year ahead. Youth Board Executive Committee Public Relations Coordinator Sarahi Lopez put together summary videos to share about these formative experiences.

We are so proud to share with you our newly published 2023-24 Annual Report. This document includes some of our major highlights from the past program year, and illustrates the growth that Hands4Hope is experiencing in both youth participation and impact to those in need. We invite you to take a look and be proud of your role in making all of this possible.

Save the Date - The 2nd Annual Nashville Songwriters Live Benefit Concert is returning to Folsom's Harris Center for the Arts on December 17, 2024! The audience raved last year about the memorable and intimate opportunity to listen to songwriters Jeffery Steele, Mark Mackay, and CJ Solar play their music and tell the stories behind their hit songs. Don't miss out this year! Tickets will be available soon.

Sponsorship opportunities are available now.
