Wildlife Clinic of Rhode Island Partners with YMCA for “Wild Wednesdays”
This summer, the Wildlife Clinic of Rhode Island partnered with the Peace Dale Branch YMCA for a five-week Wild Wednesdays camp series.
Each week, we worked with a different age group, ranging from Pre-K through 5th grade. We introduced our mission and led immersive, hands-on activities. Tailoring each session by age, we loved inspiring “junior rehabbers” in the making.
It was a wildly fun experience, and we look forward to continuing this camp series next summer, as well as exploring more collaborative opportunities with the YMCA in the future!

Ocean State Waves 2025 Season Recap
The 2025 summer season at Old Mountain Field has wrapped up, and what a year it was! While the record didn’t fully reflect the team’s hard work, the Waves saw exciting moments both on and off the field.
Five players were drafted or signed with MLB teams during the July Draft, and several former Waves were called up to the majors, including 2022 Wave Brandyn Garcia, who made his pitching debut with the Seattle Mariners and is now playing for the Diamondbacks.
Planning is already underway for the 2026 roster as the Waves continue their mission to bring quality collegiate baseball to South County. Stay tuned for fall and winter events, and consider joining the Waves Family, whether as a host family for next summer’s players or as a sponsor to help support this community-driven team.
