PDC’s Fall Market theme,  INSPIRED STYLE: How Design Influences a Well-Lived Life , reveals how a well-lived life creed enhances personal and professional success for designers and clients, alike.

Applying the  INSPIRED STYLE  philosophy, LA design students and PDC showroom professionals team-up to create project presentation boards for an imagined or real-life client, capturing the spirit of the “Well-Lived Life” concept through the products and essence of the partnering showrooms.

Join us for an awards presentation along with a student meet-and-greet reception and viewing of the designer presentation boards, hosted on the 5thFloor of the PDC Blue Building.

This is a great opportunity to learn about all the various events in Paris, as well as a good opportunity to meet others interested in going to Paris.

On Saturday, August 17th we furnished an apartment for a young family for our annual community service project through a Sense of Home, a wonderful organization that provides first time homes to those who have aged out of the foster system.

2020 ASID/LA INSTALLATION

On Sunday, September 15, 2019 , we celebrated the installation of our very own Faculty Advisor, Shepard E. Vineburg, ASID who was installed as President along with the 2020 ASID CA Los Angeles Chapter Board of Directors.

The installation took place over High Tea at the beautiful Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills.

JOB TITLE:  Part Time Sales Associate @ Shoppe Palisades

SUPERVISOR:  Store Manager 
DESCRIPTION:
To support the store sales floor and daily sales activities while using excellent customer service. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support Store Manager in daily sales activities.
  • Greeting customers and help guide them through the store and determine specific needs while provide excellent customer service.
  • Provide accurate product information.
  • Keeping the sales floor merchandised and stocked.
  • Process sales and understand the POS system and it’s functions.
  • Increase customer base by proactively reaching out to customers when new items arrive, and adding all new contacts/customers to contact list.
  • Support with stock checking and cleaning.
  • Provide product feedback to store manager and buyer.
  • Understand and know all operational procedures to properly execute daily operations.
  • Support Store Manager with all daily operational procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 1+ years of retail experience, background in home decor and interiors is preferred. 
  • Basic knowledge of POS systems is a plus
  • GREAT communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Strong background in customer service and demonstrates problem solving skills. 
  • Thrives in a team setting.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must live in the Los Angeles area and have reliable transportation. 
  • Ability to lift and mobilize large items, up to 50 lbs. while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques
  • Ability to work weekends and flexibility with scheduling
