As fall approaches, we trust many of you are returning from well-deserved vacations and getting back to business as usual. The Joint Commission is doing the same as they continue to catch up on overdue and high priority surveys.
With that in mind, we’re providing updates this month to support your continuous readiness. Our first article reviews the new Workplace Violence Prevention standards going into effect in January. There are several processes you’ll need to put in place to meet the new requirements.
Our second article covers the topic of boarding psychiatric patients in the Emergency Department. This is a challenging area for med/surg hospitals that serve psychiatric patients in their EDs.
We’re now back out in the field full force supporting our clients with their survey readiness efforts across the country. Indeed, it’s great to be back out there in person with so many of you!
We value your feedback on the newsletter. Please send us your comments and tell us what topics you'd like to see in future issues. We look forward to hearing from you! Also, feel free to forward this newsletter to your colleagues.
Stay safe and healthy!
