Personal Assistive Devices
We currently have a large number of scooters, some electric wheelchairs and a variety of other Assistive Devices available. The equipment is free of charge and needs to go out to those in the community that cannot afford it.
Individuals looking for equipment are required to fill out a form found on our website thereafter someone from our team will get in contact with you.
This month we saw some great progress in the Mapping project and have some exciting collaboration opportunities in the coming months. Langley Pos-Abilities is collaborating with TWU to design a student project. TWU students will be visiting different locations and filling out the Mapping Report to determine the accessibility of these locations.
Representatives from Tourism Langley came up with 63 public locations for the students to use for the Mapping Program.
Push for Accessibility
Langley Pos-Abilities Society has created an app that allows you to review any location you visit for various features which improve accessibility for people with disabilities. The goal is to shed light on what changes our community needs to improve community engagement for people with disabilities.

Accessible or Not?
Watch this video to learn about how important it is for people in wheelchairs and scooters to have proper accessible parking. Lack of proper parking in the right location can put them at risk or restricts access to their vehicle. Accessible parking isn't about convenience, it's a requirement.
The Langley Pos-Abilities Society is excited to have collaborated with SPARC BC on this project. We hope that you are as excited as we are!
Through our P.A.D. Program, it is possible to request a personal assistive piece of equipment. If you would like to browse available equipment, please visit our catalog. Information about requesting or donating equipment can be found on our website.
Where can you find us? We are on Facebook, our website, and on Instagram! Check all three frequently to ensure that you are getting the latest information about what is going on in the society.
