Words from your Director

Our school year is rolling right along, and we are so happy to spend our days with your precious children. Our dedicated POP staff is committed to creating loving and engaging learning environments for each child.

Thank you to the parents who stopped by our Coffee in the Courtyard, this past Friday morning! It was awesome to connect and officially meet some of our new families. We discussed volunteer opportunities for this school year, including sign-ups for Room Parents.

If you are interested in learning more, please read here or pick up a hard copy in the front office. If you are interested in being a Room Parent, please let me know asap as I hope to have these set by our Parent Night. Reach out with any questions!

We hope you are able to make it to our POP Parent Night, this Thursday at 6:30pm in our sanctuary. I love getting to come together with our parents and staff to talk about all of the awesome things that will be happening this year! This is a great chance to hear from your child's teachers, visit the classrooms, and it's a chance to meet and connect with other POP parents.

That same evening, we will also be having a POP fundraising night at our neighborhood Little O's! More info below... Thank you, Lane family & Little O's!

It is my hope that you and your child feel warmly welcomed each time you step on our campus. Please know that our team and I are here to partner with your family in any ways we can.

Thank you for being a special part of our Prince of Peace family!

Did You Know?

Children feel emotions differently...

If you’ve ever witnessed a temper tantrum, you know how devastated a child can seem over the smallest thing. But this isn’t just for show—studies tell us that children feel emotions in a more full-body way than adults do.

Children don’t always know that emotions are temporary. They may feel trapped in a certain emotion, without the understanding that it can come and go. It might even be hard for them to articulate how they feel about a situation, making it more of a struggle for them to do anything about it.

At preschool, we work to help children learn to identify and regulate their emotions. Once they’re in an environment with other children and a team of caring adults, they’ll have many additional learning opportunities to explore and engage with the world around them.
